Municipal Court Practice

At one time or another, most of us are going to come into contact with the Municipal Court.  Even though the Municipal Court handles the lowest offenses and traffic matters, do not let that fool you.  The Court can still sentence you up to 6 months in jail, suspend your license, and leave you with a criminal record!  It is important to have an attorney who understands this forum, which has its own set of rules, to represent you.

We handle cases in the Municipal Court, which hears Disorderly Persons, Petty Disorderly Persons, and Traffic Offenses in New Jersey.  All the rights a defendant would have in Superior Court apply to Municipal Court as well, and WE ASSERT THOSE RIGHTS!   We can help you prove your innocence or have the case severely down-graded to mitigate the consequences of any charge.
